There are lots of places out there that will fix it... Apple is my own opinion is a joke... There are some that advertise on ebay or do a google search for ipod repair... There are dozens of pages of them.... If your still frazzled send me a pm and I will help you do a search I have 4 Gen 4 I picked used on ebay they are really pretty easy to work on.... I have replace batteries hardrives ect... If something is too harry then I just send it to get an estimate...

Smoke smell as in campfire or smoke smell as owned my a smoker? I suggest washing anything that can be washed and fabreeze.... Plus maybe open it up and give it a good airing out.... Maybe put a fan inside to help move the air around...

I think you where 100% in the right but the smart ass side of me might of came off like... Well if you would kindly point out the RV parking space for me I would be more than happy to accomidate you... Since there isn't any I did what was safest for myself and everyone and parked out in the boonies so I could pull out safetly when I was done shopping.... Obviously the guy just had his panties in a bunch and had nothing better to do than whine....

No I did not miss the thread on renting .... I suggested renting out the home to another person while they wait for the market to get better then sell the house for a profit... And I would not volunteer the information to the irs I was renting out my house... Some do some don't... You can sell a house empty or be living in it if they decided it was time to sell.... If your out traveling the country in an rv who's to say the only house you own is not your primary home? I have a second home and I do not rent it out... But I was trying up to a few months ago try to sell it... I decided I would rather pull it off the market and wait a year than take a 50K hit on trying to price it now for todays weak market....

Why not just do what everyone seems to have overlooked ... Fulltime and rent your house out... Or let a realator that handles rental property handle it for you.... Then when the market gets better if you want you can sell the house why take a loss at all?

RE: DirecTV - move card over or whole box?
The box and the card are somewhat married together you can usually call customer serive and have the card activated and matched to another receiver with a phone call... example I had a box go bad and I had a spare I just called customer service after I swithed the boxes out and had the new reciever plugged in and turned on to channel 100 ... Its the basic info channel... Then after calling about 4 minutes later the card was matched at thier end and the new box worked....

Do you have a watersoftner? I have one in my home in arizona and it cycles itself.... Or do you have an ice machine thsy also run and cycle themselves... Maybe its something along those lines...

Well this may be a oversimplified idea but why not just go to harbor freight and buy some big silver tarps .... A package of big bungies... Or spend a couple hundred dollars on a cover... Just a thought...
